The completely renovated, the whitewashed Therasia Resort hotel in Vulcano stands out against the promontory of Vulcanello against the magical scenery of the Aeolian archipelago, boasting views over the six islands and the faraglioni of Lipari.

The hotel enjoys clean sea air and the fragrances of rosemary and broom flowers. Respecting its environment, local materials have been used to restructure the hotel; molten rock from Mount Etna, Sicilian terracotta, cedar and olive wood. The elegance and refined taste of the hotel reflect the wonderful Aeolian style, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere where guests can enjoy a truly unforgettable holiday. The hotel Therasia Resort also features the Arcipelago restaurant, the Dydyme American bar, a seawater swimming pool and a well equipped black sand private beach, giving the chance to unwind and soak in the Aeolian sun.

Information on the area With seven thousand years of history, rare natural beauty and a place of geological interest, the Aeolian Islands are one of Italy’s most popular holiday destinations. The seven islands enjoy exotic nature and a warm climate (in the winter temperatures are seldom below 10°C, with average spring temperatures of 20/22°C). “Aeolus” or the “Keeper of Winds” in Greek mythology travelled through the breathtaking islands of Vulcano, Stromboli, Alicudi, Panarea, Filicudi, Lipari and Salina. These ancient islands, which evolved from the sea in the geological Pleistocene era, are situated in the south of the Mediterranean at 40 km from the coast of Sicily.
By Plane Catania airport, Sicily, is the nearest airport to the Aeolian Islands. Milazzo port is the nearest port to the Aeolian Islands with the most hydrofoil and ferry connections (journey time hydrofoil approx 45 mins, ferry approx 1h 45 mins, however in high season there are connections from Palermo port to the Aeolian Islands.
